The project was located in two old houses along a park, in front of a historical building, “Palais Rameau”. The ground floor was initially two separated offices, whereas on the upper floor, there were flats. The project consisted in transforming the ground floor into a hair salon.
We had first to distinguish the flats entrance, from the hair salon one. We created a new glass door along the porch, at the centre of the reception room. Then creating two large holes, on each side of an elegant mirror, joined the two houses. From the front door, it gave a majestic view.
The place was characterised by nicely moulded walls and ceilings, two nice chimneys and original mirrors. To enhance these qualities, we had a contemporary approach and worked with high quality materials: mirrors, marble, solid wood floor.
To keep the walls simple, the hairdresser’s furniture was placed in the centre of the room. Furthermore, it welcomed all the technical equipment: sound, light, electric installation. Placed diagonally along the space, they reflected the surrounding walls, and created small areas, more intimate, ideal for the clients.
